Sluice Gates

Sluice gates are flow control devices that consist of a frame, slide and operating mechanism. Sluice gates are provided with seals along all four sides of the opening and they are typically used to stop or control flow through an orifice in a concrete wall. The sluice gates offered by RWG are outfitted with durable UHMWPE seals to ensure low leakage and the standard stainless steel version can be designed to handle high head applications in excess of 75-ft seating and unseating head. Sluice gates can be provided in stainless steel or HDPE plastic.

Slide Gates

Slide gates are flow control devices that consist of a frame, slide and operating mechanism. Slide gates are provided with seals along the sides and across the invert of the opening and they are typically used to stop flow, control flow or control level in a basin or a channel. Slide gates offered by RWG are outfitted with durable UHMWPE seals to ensure low leakage. Slide gates can be provided in stainless steel, aluminum or HDPE plastic.

Stop Log Assemblies

Stop log assemblies are flow control devices that consist of a frame and multiple stacking logs. Each stop log is provided with seals along the sides and across the bottom. Stop logs are typically used to stop flow or control level in a basin or a channel. The low leakage stop log assemblies offered by RWG are outfitted with resilient seals to restrict leakage and they can be designed to handle high head applications. Stop logs can be provided in stainless steel, aluminum, or HDPE plastic.

Stop Gates

Stop gates are flow control devices that consist of a frame and one or more slide plates. Stop gates are economical gates that are typically provided with seals along the sides and across the invert of the opening. Stop gates are used to stop flow or control level in a basin or a channel. Stop gates are outfitted with handles or lifting lugs. Depending on the size and the differential water level they can be manually removed. Stop gates can be provided in stainless steel, aluminum or HDPE plastic.

Flap Gates

Flap gates are back flow prevention devices that are designed to open under an unseating head condition and close under a seating head condition. The flap is mounted offset from vertical to ensure a positive closing via gravity. A resilient seal is utilized to achieve low leakage between the frame and flap. Flap gates can be provided in stainless steel, aluminum or HDPE plastic.

Telescopic Valves

Telescopic valves are flow control devices that utilize an adjustable slip tube. The slip tube is adjusted vertically to regulate water level, remove scum and floatables or to remove scum from the bottom of clarifiers. A resilient seal is utilized to restrict leakage at the interface of the slip tube and the receiving pipe. Telescoping valves can be provided in stainless steel.

Mud Valves

Mud valves are primarily used to open or close a drain in the bottom of basins and channels in water and wastewater treatment plants. The resilient seal utilized by RWG ensures a tight shutoff even when grit and gravel is present. Mud valves can be anchored to the concrete floor or pipe flange mounted. Mud valves can be provided in stainless steel or HDPE plastic.

Shear Gates

Shear Gates are flow control devices that consist of a frame, slide plate and a manual lifting handle. Shear gates are provided with seals around the entire perimeter of the opening and they are typically used in small, open-close applications. The shear gates offered by RWG are outfitted with a durable resilient seal to ensure low leakage. Shear gates can be provided in stainless steel.
